Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and does not replicate previously published content. Properly cite and attribute all sources, including direct quotations, ideas, and data. Plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, undermines scholarly integrity and is grounds for immediate rejection.
Authorship and Contribution: Authorship should be based on substantial contributions to the research project. All listed authors must have participated sufficiently in the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. Each author should review and approve the final manuscript and be prepared to take responsibility for its content and conclusions.
Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for the accuracy and reliability of their research data. Ensure that all data presented in the manuscript is valid, reproducible, and honestly represented. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is unethical and constitutes a serious breach of trust.
Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could potentially bias their work or influence the interpretation of results. This includes funding sources, affiliations with organizations mentioned in the manuscript, and any competing interests that could be perceived as influencing the research or its outcomes.
Ethical Approval and Informed Consent: For studies involving human or animal subjects, authors must provide evidence of ethical approval from relevant institutional review boards or ethics committees. Informed consent must be obtained from all human participants, detailing the study's purpose, procedures, risks, and benefits. Authors should ensure compliance with ethical standards throughout the research process.
Accurate Reporting: Authors should present their findings accurately and transparently, avoiding selective reporting or misrepresentation of results. If errors or inaccuracies are identified after publication, authors should promptly notify the journal's editors and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions as necessary.
Multiple or Concurrent Submissions: Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of AI and Humanities should not be simultaneously under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently is unethical and can lead to serious consequences, including retraction of the manuscript and restrictions on future submissions.
Acknowledgment of Sources: Properly acknowledge and cite all sources used in the manuscript, including publications, data sets, and intellectual contributions from others. Obtain permission to reproduce copyrighted material and clearly attribute the contributions of colleagues or collaborators.
Respect for Peer Review: Authors should respect the confidentiality of the peer review process. Avoid any attempts to influence the review process unfairly, such as suggesting or excluding specific reviewers. Respond to reviewers' comments constructively and address all feedback in a thorough and timely manner.
Adherence to these robust ethical standards ensures the integrity, credibility, and scholarly excellence of research published in the Journal of AI and Humanities. Authors are encouraged to integrate these principles into their research practices and manuscript preparation to uphold the highest ethical standards in academic publishing.
